What do I value? well it is this land that we live off, of course. we live in a wonderful and unusual landscape that needs looking after. the recent fires are clearly enough evidence that there is more to be learned about taking care of this land. often those that live on the land know what to do but they are held back by policies put in place by people who live in the inner cities and have no clue. how do these people get these important jobs? why do they let ego get in the way of reality? why can't they now take ownership of their mistakes? life has been lost, human and animal, landscapes gone, lives changed forever and it is NOT MY FAULT

  2. Do we need to experience natural disasters, such as bushfires, to make us take notice of what is happening within the landscape? Are we expecting too much from our landscape - should some of these areas be so populated given their propensity for natural disasters, be it fire or flood?
